Staff than went on to say it was, again, the fault of as when you book a room with Hotel Indigo and pay for a Standard room the hotel is able to allocate you a twin or a double. However, as I had a copy of our confirmation I pointed out that it displayed our request for a 'King size Standard'. Expecting to have the problem resolved, we were incredibly shocked to be told it was actually due to us booking the room through a third party (). We were advised to return to the front desk. ![]() Having travelled on a 10 hour flight from England it seemed incredibly unfair to propose an extra cost when all we wanted was a double room. When we called the front desk we were told there were no double rooms left and we could only have a double if we payed a substantial amount on top of our hotel cost for an upgrade. When we arrived at the room we were shocked to find a twin, when we booked a double. Check in was quick and we were given room keys with very little information. Though, $45 per night for hotel guests seems far too high in my opinion. The 1 star awarded is purely down to the valet staff. ![]() Staff at the valet were the best thing about our stay and always offered us advice on where to go/ how to get there etc. We had a hire car and the worker outside, who took our car, was incredibly welcoming. ![]() Location was short walk from the centre of the Gaslamp Quarter and hotel looked fairly modern. We were made to feel unwelcome and as a complete burden due to poor customer service. I use Trip Advisor to praise good service and this is the first poor review I have given to a hotel.
